【範文】 The rapid disappearance of physical bookstores and the sharp decline of the publishing industry have become pressing issues in contemporary society. While objective factors, such as the ubiquitous rise of digital media and the convenience of e-commerce, undeniably contribute to this downturn, the fundamental root cause lies deeper in our society's diminishing reading literacy. In our current educational landscape, the predominant exam-oriented culture has severely stifled the genuine joy of reading. Schools heavily emphasize academic performance, leaving little room for educators to actively encourage extracurricular reading. Consequently, students tend to view reading merely as a tedious tool for passing examinations rather than an avenue for intellectual exploration and personal enrichment. Once they graduate, this utilitarian approach extinguishes their intrinsic motivation to read, leading to a general public that is increasingly alienated from books.
