Known as Asperger Disorder, Asperger Syndrome (AS) is an autism spectrum disorder that is characterized by difficulties in social interaction and nonverbal communication, alongside restricted and repetitive patterns of interests/behavior. The exact cause of Asperger Syndrome is unknown. Although researches suggest the likelihood of a genetic basis, there is no known genetic cause to be identified with.
