【範文】 Part I: Translation of the Controversy The Shanyuan Fushan Fish Reserve in Taitung has achieved great success in marine restoration, attracting numerous tourists to feed the fish. However, this practice has sparked significant environmental controversy. Initially, tourists fed the fish high-fat foods like bread and fried dough sticks. The greasy residue polluted the coast, stunted seaweed growth, and disrupted the marine food chain. To mitigate this, the local management committee introduced oil-free "seaweed steamed buns." Unfortunately, while intended to promote sustainability, these buns attracted massive schools of fish to the intertidal zone, which severely degraded water quality and led to species homogenization. Consequently, a strict ban on fish feeding was implemented this year. Despite this regulation, nearby vendors blatantly ignore the ban by continuing to sell the seaweed buns, and tourists persistently feed the fish, thereby exacerbating the ecological crisis.
